As someone who struggles with eczema, I understand the yearly struggle of finding an SPF that won’t irritate and flare up my skin. Over the years, I’ve tried and tested countless SPFs, some that worked, some that didn’t and some that straight up inflamed my face and struck me down with an itchy rash that ruined my carefully curated summer outfits. The process of finding an SPF that actually works is stressful, so I wanted to share the best daily SPFs for eczema-prone skin that I’ve found.

If you are a fellow eczema sufferer or struggle with sensitive skin during the summer months, this post will help you find the best face SPF for your sensitive skin.

Vichy Capital Soleil Tan Illuminating Sun Protection Water Spray SPF30

This water-spray is super hydrating and leaves my skin with a magical glow that is perfect for sunny Summer days! I was a tad apprehensive to use this one as sometimes when a product claims to enhance or illuminate a tan it tends to irritate my skin. Thankfully, not this one! This spray is so moisturising yet light and doesn’t leave an oily residue (my itchy skin hates an oily, sticky residue!)

I love La Roche Posay products. I went through a phase of religiously using the La Roche Posay Lipikar Baume as my daily moisturiser and know this brand’s products just feel so lovely and soothing on my irritated eczema-prone skin. I’ve used their Facial SPF daily for a few months and it has worked so well on my skin. It isn’t irritating or heavy and doesn’t make my face itchy like some other SPFs.

I was a little apprehensive about using this fragranced oil on my skin but it caused no reactions on my super sensitive skin and it was so lightweight. The smell is amazing and it didn’t leave an oily residue like most other oil-based SPFs. The product absorbed quickly into my skin and left me feeling well-protected against the fierce summer sun.

I am a massive BYOMA fan. I feel like this brand emerged on the scene last year and all of a sudden it’s like I don’t understand how my skin survived without their products! This SPF is so light and hydrating and doesn’t cause me any irritation or rashes. One thing to bear in mind with this product though is that it’s not great under make-up as it tends to pill when you layer other products on top. I have used this on make-up free days and it gives a nice hydrating boost!

This mineral-based SPF contains Avène Thermal Spring Water and anti-oxidents making it just as much skincare as it is SPF. I wouldn’t ue this on my face as it is pretty thick and wouldn’t be great under make-up but it’s a lovely moisturising SPF cream that’s perfect for those extra sensitive and eczema-prone areas of my body.

Soltan products are old faithfuls! I’ve used this SPF for years ever since I was young and it’s always worked so well with my skin. The formula is super gentle and a massive plus is it smells divine! Soltan is also really affordable which is a must-have for suncream as you use so much of it when you’re on holiday.
